Schedule

2:00 PM – 10:30 PM (steady schedule in a secure environment)

Location

655 W. 8th Street, Jacksonville, Florida 32209 (Downtown)

Responsibilities

• Patrol and maintain order throughout assigned buildings and grounds.
• Ensure service excellence for all internal and external customers and staff.
• Use tact, diplomacy, and concern when interacting with customers and staff.
• Diffuse and control situations involving anger, confusion, or threatening conditions.
• Remain calm and in control during verbal and physical threats.
• Provide assistance and direction to visitors, patients, and staff with a positive and professional attitude.
• Maintain a visually attractive appearance in personal hygiene and uniform.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED (required).
• AA/AS degree or college courses in criminal justice, law enforcement, or a related field (preferred).
• 1-2 years of security, law enforcement, or military experience (required).
• Three to five years of security experience in a hospital environment (preferred).
• Valid Florida or Georgia Driver’s license with a clean record (violations must not exceed maximum points as provided in hospital policy).

• Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on customer service and conflict resolution.
• Ability to diffuse tense situations and remain calm under pressure.
• Professional and helpful attitude in person and on the telephone.
• Initiative to assist visitors, patients, and staff with genuine interest in their needs.
