Officer I - POLICE & SECURITY

Full-Time, Second Shift position at Kettering Health Wilmington.

Responsibilities

• Follow written and oral instructions.
• Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, especially under stressful circumstances.
• Meet the standards established by the Medical Center.
• Learn and operate computers, computer-based dispatching, and report writing systems.
• Operate proprietary central fire systems and other computer-based systems as needed.
• Apply knowledge of principles and methods for maintaining building and ground security.
• Investigate incidents tactfully, dealing with victims, witnesses, and suspects, and file thorough reports.
• Handle money transactions.
• Accept change and constructive criticism.

Requirements

• Good communication skills.
• Ability to learn and operate various computer-based systems.
• Knowledge of security principles and methods.

Preferred Qualifications

• Minimum one-year experience in security and public contact.
• Experience in crisis intervention and evaluation.
