180-day contract position with benefits. Hourly rate: $16.51–$18.55 depending on experience and qualifications.

Responsibilities

  • Provide secretarial support to school site; establish and maintain records; compile and distribute materials and reports; respond to inquiries from internal and external sources.
  • Administer first aid and prescription medications to students under the direction of a health care professional.
  • Assist in developing master schedules to ensure student course and class size requirements are accurate.
  • Attend department and/or in-service meetings to convey and/or gather information.
  • Collect payments for events such as fines, fees, and fundraisers.
  • Compile data (e.g., Student Educational Occupation Plans, calendars, work orders, budget reports, specialized reports, student records) for reports, recommendations, or information requests.
  • Coordinate assigned projects and activities (e.g., distribution of materials, conference arrangements, travel requirements, proctoring exit assessments).
  • Maintain manual and electronic documents, files, and records (e.g., student transcripts, purchase orders, advisory lists, work orders, time sheets, expense reimbursement requests) in accordance with administrative guidelines and legal requirements.
  • Maintain inventory of supplies and materials to ensure availability.
  • Monitor student behaviors in hallways, auditoriums, and other areas to maintain a safe and positive learning environment.
  • Prepare correspondence, reports, and materials (e.g., awards, report cards, class schedules, letters, memorandums, minutes, charts, periodic and ad-hoc reports).
  • Process documents and materials (e.g., schedule/class changes, student registrations, time sheets, work orders, travel reimbursements) for accurate historical documentation.
  • Research assigned topics (e.g., student record discrepancies, current practices, policies, education codes) to provide information for department operations.
  • Respond to inquiries from parents, district staff, schools, government agencies, the public, and students to facilitate communication and provide direction.
  • Review release of students to authorized parents/guardians to ensure student safety.
  • Schedule activities (e.g., appointments, meetings, travel reservations, facility usage) for assigned administrators.
  • Verify student-related data (e.g., grades, information, coursework) to ensure accuracy of student records.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned to ensure efficient functioning of the work unit.

Requirements

  • Job-related experience is desired.
  • Must be at least 16 years of age.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.

Pay

Hourly rate: $16.51–$18.55 depending on experience and qualifications.

Schedule

8 hours per day, 180-day contract.
