About the role
The Office of Employee Culture Project Manager is responsible for guiding the strategic planning and execution of initiatives and projects aimed at improving employee culture within the Department of Human Services. This role involves leading the development and delivery of leadership coaching resources, coordinating projects across the Office of Employee Culture, and building an agency-wide library of learning and development opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Lead the assessment, design, development, implementation and evaluation of a strategic plan for DHS Office of Employee Culture’s initiatives and projects.
- Develop and deliver customizable menu of leadership and executive coaching resources, curriculum, trainers and resources for DHS.
- Build an agency-wide library of executive leadership coaching, learning and development opportunities.
- Coordinate projects across the areas of the Office of Employee Culture.
- Work with Employee Culture directors, as well as other areas of the organization, to develop, coordinate and implement Employee Culture initiatives and projects.
- Lead, plan, develop and/or coordinate special projects as the need is determined or as assigned.
Requirements
- Three (3) years of high-level experience in employee culture, employee engagement, learning and development, organizational development, or another related experience.
- Experience demonstrating strategic planning models, project management skills, and methods and techniques of presenting information to various audiences.
- Practical knowledge of adult learning and development theories.
Preferred Qualifications
- Variety of experiences working effectively with others from different backgrounds and cultures.
- DHS programs, services, and strategic initiatives.
- Proficient in accessible communications and strategies to meet the needs of diverse learners.
- Skills in presentations, meeting facilitations, speaking and presenting information for diverse audiences.
- Ability to work with internal employees at all levels of the organization and to advance diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging.
- Concepts related to adult learning styles, employee engagement and retention strategies, change theory, antiracism, Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging constructs.
- Experience designing accessible learning content.
- Experience contracting with external vendors.
- Interest in engaging greater equity in state contracting and working to implement Office of Equity in Procurement.
- Current participation or active engagement with an employee resource group.
