Responsibilities

• All responsibilities are essential job functions.
• Completes patient physical assessment.
• Performs and/or delegates patient treatments as prescribed by the physician.
• Documents patient care.
• Develops and implements an educational plan for patient/family.
• Acts as a role model for all clinical staff.
• Trains, and provides direction/oversight to the clinical staff.
• Participates in the interviewing and evaluating of the clinical staff.
• Triages phone calls and executes appropriate follow through.
• Performs vital signs, and visual acuity on designated patients and documents appropriately.
• Assists physicians with technical procedures, such as outpatient surgical procedures, pap smears, sigmoidoscopies etc., assembling sterile instruments and supplies, participating in the set up, maintenance,
