About the role

An Office Manager will achieve a world-class Total Patient Experience that maximizes retail sales while supporting patients’ medical needs. Responsible for the overall sales and profitability of an office location, you will manage all operations, including team member support, merchandising, inventory management, training, and safety. You will execute the Total Patient Experience (TPE) to drive revenue and profitability, exercising independent judgment and discretion in managing the entire retail operation. A Licensed Office Manager will possess a State Optician’s License for states where required by the company.

Responsibilities

  • Direct and execute the overall sales and profitability of an individual office location through the effective execution of Total Patient Experience (TPE).
  • Develop and maintain a good working relationship with the doctor(s) associated with the office location and serve as a liaison between the doctor and office team.
  • Human Resource Management: Recruitment, selection, training, coaching, and development of team members, including coaching on KPI scorecard results.
  • Conduct performance reviews and compensation evaluations for the office team.
  • Exercise judgment and utilize tools to achieve revenue and EBITDA growth.
  • Motivate team members by remaining positive and communicating changes or news in a supportive and constructive way.
  • Maintain facility to corporate standards, including building, equipment, parking lot, and grounds, as well as safety rules, HIPAA & OSHA requirements, hazardous material handling, and waste disposal.
  • Monitor and enforce Company cash handling policies and procedures, including petty cash as outlined by Accounting, and submit required financial documents accurately and on schedule.
  • Execute day-to-day operations of the office by ensuring team member scheduling, weekly meetings, report generation, inventory assessment, supply ordering, and team member training are completed.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Industry-related experience will be beneficial.
  • Management experience preferred.
  • Favorable result on background check as required by state.
  • Must be able to provide proof of identity and right to work in the United States.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

Qualifications

  • ABO, NCLE, and/or LDO preferred, but not required.

Work Environment

  • Work is primarily performed in a standard office or clinical setting.
  • Travel to other locations may be required to carry out essential job duties and responsibilities.

Physical Requirements

  • Frequent walking (75%), sitting (50%), and standing (50%).
  • Regular bending, stooping, and reaching (25–50%).
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull items up to 25 lbs.
  • Strong fine motor skills and full use of hands for constant grasping, writing/typing, and use of technology.
  • Visual and auditory acuity—including color, depth, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus—required 100% of the time.
  • Occasional driving or climbing may be necessary.

Pay

$21-23/hr, depending on experience. Bonus and commission incentives are also offered.

Schedule

  • Full Time.
  • Offices are open Monday-Friday 8am-7pm, Saturday 8am-1pm (hours vary by day and location).
  • You may need to work a little earlier and/or later as needed.
  • You will not work all of these hours, but you must have open availability to work any shift within these hours.
