About the role
The Office Manager position at HSS Onsite Rehabilitation Hospital for Special Surgery is seeking an energetic and passionate individual to oversee administrative professionals in a supportive outpatient environment across four corporate partnerships in five onsite locations in midtown and lower Manhattan and Brooklyn.
Responsibilities
- Oversee front desk operations for all locations
- Coordinate a portion of the physician needs
- Provide onsite care to employees
- Support the onsite HSS staff
- Respond to corporate leadership requests
- Prepare requested reporting and KPIs to the corporate entity
- Evaluate administrative staff performance
- Manage patient flow and scheduling
- Handle insurance authorization and registration of patients
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members, clinicians, physicians, and other HSS Rehab team members, Strategic Partnership team, and corporate partners
- Promote a professional atmosphere through courteous communication to the team
- Ensure superior customer service for patients
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree preferred; Diploma or equivalent with 3 years of experience
- Two years in a healthcare or related customer service field
- Superior written and oral communication skills
- Exceptional customer service skills
- Ability to multi-task
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Knowledge of healthcare and health insurance
- Familiarity with medical terminology
- Positive attitudes towards assignments and others
- Ability to work in Excel with data sets
- Supervisory skills
