Requirements
- Associate or Bachelors degree preferred
- Two to three years of experience in Medicare/Medicaid billing or experience in management functions
- Proficient in Microsoft office, the internet, e-mail and desktop navigation
- Knowledge of or experience in accounting/bookkeeping
- Demonstrated ability to organize and manage time, tasks, and files
- Can type at least 40-50 words per minute
- Excellent oral communication skills
- Must be willing to obtain computer knowledge with hospice computer systems
- At least one year experience in hospice preferred
- Knowledge of medical terminology preferred
- Must be able to demonstrate flexibility by performing a variety of tasks
- Home Care Home Base experience preferred

About the Role
St. Joseph Hospice is seeking a full-time Office Manager to join our patient care team in Shreveport, LA.
Responsibilities
As a full-time Office Manager, you will be responsible for managing the administrative operations of the office, including but not limited to:
- Overseeing the daily operations of the office
- Managing the financial aspects of the office, including billing and reimbursement processes
- Coordinating with other departments to ensure smooth workflow
- Ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements
- Providing support to staff and patients as needed
Skills
Skills required for this position include:
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software
- Knowledge of medical terminology and hospice care practices
