Office Manager
About the role
The Facilities team at PEAK6 sets the tone for how the office feels, and the Office Manager is central to that. This role involves managing the daily life of the office, handling reception duties, coordinating food deliveries, supporting event setups, and more.
Responsibilities
- Manage the daily life of the office: keep shared spaces clean, organized, and well-stocked
- Oversee kitchen, coffee, and snack programs
- Coordinate food deliveries and catered meals
- Handle reception duties, manage the visitor system, and own the beginning and end of each day
- Provide mailroom services and manage a team of people
- Be the point person for facilities issues: report problems, coordinate with vendors and building staff, and see repairs through to completion
- Maintain vendor performance, track maintenance issues, and ensure compliance with building, safety, and company policies
- Own conference rooms: keep them presentation-ready, manage bookings, and ensure A/V and equipment are always functional
- Support event setups, office moves, furniture management, and art installations
- Serve as the on-site lead for construction projects and site surveys
- Work closely with HR on onboarding and offboarding
- Occasionally run errands for the co-founders
Requirements
You have at least five years of office management experience (facilities background is a plus) and are comfortable working with Google Workspace. You're physically capable of standing for extended periods and lifting up to 30 pounds.
Qualifications
More than anything, you're someone who operates with high integrity, stays composed under pressure, and holds yourself to an exceptionally high standard. You don't need someone to tell you what needs to be done — you see it and handle it. You communicate well across all levels of an organization and treat the company's resources with the same care you'd give your own.
