Join a growing, people-first team at Knudtsen Auto Group in Post Falls. We're a family-owned business dedicated to strong relationships, integrity, and excellence. As an Office Manager, you'll lead accounting operations, mentor staff, ensure financial accuracy, and support dealership performance.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with Controller for all hiring.
  • Train and supervise office personnel.
  • Aid Controller with monthly financial statements.
  • Control posted documents, including time records, vehicle deals, commissions, and inventory changes.
  • Reconcile bank accounts and provide daily cash reports.
  • Manage petty cash and departmental budgets.
  • Provide detailed financial and management reports.
  • Review and correct accounting staff entries.
  • Investigate unusual entries and reconcile accounts.
  • Approve adjustments to inventory and receivable accounts.
  • Ensure compliance with manufacturer accounts, warranties, rebates, and co-op advertising.
  • Close month-end by processing accounting tasks within 10 business days.
  • Prepare short and long-term forecasts as requested.
  • Assist in annual reviews and audits.
  • Process payroll and manage chargebacks.
  • Manage vehicle floor plans and collect past due accounts.
  • Support office team with titling, VSC/ancillary products, and other tasks.
  • Cross-train a qualified substitute.
  • Maintain a professional appearance.
  • Attend managers' meetings as needed.
  • Post payroll and body shop repair orders in DMS.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration preferred.
  • 4-6 years of previous automotive accounting experience preferred.
  • Basic computer skills, including Word, Excel, and database management software.
  • Proficient in oral and written communication.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Pass motor vehicle report and criminal background check.
  • Pass drug test.
