An Office Manager will achieve a world-class Total Patient Experience that both maximizes retail sales and supports patients' medical needs. Responsible for the overall sales and profitability of an office location, managing all operations including team member support, merchandising, inventory management, training, and safety.

Responsibilities

  • Direct and execute the overall sales and profitability of an individual office location through the effective execution of Total Patient Experience (TPE).
  • Develop and maintain a good working relationship with doctors associated with the office location and serve as liaison between doctor and office team.
  • Human Resource Management: Recruitment, selection, training, coaching, and development of team members, including coaching of KPI scorecard results.
  • Conduct performance reviews and compensation evaluations for the office team.
  • Exercise judgment and utilize tools to achieve revenue and EBITDA growth.
  • Motivate team members by remaining positive and communicating changes or news in a supportive and constructive way.
  • Maintain facility to corporate standards, including building, equipment, parking lot, and grounds, as well as safety rules, HIPAA & OSHA requirements, hazardous material handling, and waste disposal.
  • Monitor and enforce Company cash handling policies and procedures, including petty cash as outlined by Accounting, and submit required financial documents accurately and on schedule.
  • Execute day-to-day operations of the office by ensuring team member scheduling, weekly meetings, report generation, inventory assessment, supply ordering, and team member training are completed.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Management experience required.
  • Industry-related experience will be beneficial.
  • Must pass a background check as required by state.
  • Must be able to provide proof of identity and right to work in the United States.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • A State Optician's License may be required for states where mandated by the company (ABO, NCLE, and/or LDO could be preferred).

Work Environment

  • Work is primarily performed in a standard office or clinical setting.
  • Travel to other locations may be required to carry out essential job duties and responsibilities.

Physical Requirements

  • Frequent walking (75%), sitting (50%), and standing (50%).
  • Regular bending, stooping, and reaching (25–50%).
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull items up to 25 lbs.
  • Strong fine motor skills and full use of hands for constant grasping, writing/typing, and use of technology.
  • Visual and auditory acuity—including color, depth, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus—required 100% of the time.
  • Occasional driving or climbing may be necessary.
