Office Engineer

About the role

Garg Consulting Services, Inc. (Garg) is a leading multidisciplinary engineering and construction management firm specializing in transportation infrastructure, roadway design, and DOT projects throughout the Northeast. We are currently seeking a highly skilled Office Engineer to support major transportation construction projects in Connecticut.

Responsibilities

• Manage construction documentation: RFIs, RFCs, submittals, drawings, contracts, and correspondence
• Track and distribute technical documents using AASHTOWare and COMPASS
• Prepare daily and weekly reports, meeting minutes, and change order logs
• Cook with and coordinate with engineers, inspectors, contractors, and clients
• Support pay estimates and schedule updates in accordance with CTDOT procedures
• Maintain audit-ready project files

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management OR NICET Level II/III in Highway or Transportation Inspection
• Minimum 6 years' experience in construction office engineering or infrastructure documentation with field inspection experience
• CTDOT project experience preferred
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Valid driver's license

Qualifications

• Required: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management OR NICET Level II/III in Highway or Transportation Inspection
• Preferred: 6+ years of experience in construction office engineering or infrastructure documentation with field inspection experience
• CTDOT project experience preferred
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Valid driver's license
