Responsibilities
- Responsible for all clerical operations related to the whole production cycle of the outpatient scheduling, authorizations and verification system.
- Creates templates and coordinates and processes pre-made schedules of CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Hospital San Marcos programs.
- Updates manual material and works collaboratively with clerks to meet performance standards.
- Coordinates scheduling program through data collection and reporting to the Clinical Program Director.
- Develops daily workflow monitoring and staffs to meet organizational needs.
- Supports all areas of Wound Care OP department patient access.
- Works with service departments and referring providers to identify areas of exposure and design improvement processes.
- Responds to organizational and client needs with innovative processes to ensure service excellence.
- Ensures compliance with relevant regulations, standards, and directives from regulatory agencies.
- Demonstrates competence to perform assigned patient care responsibilities in a manner that meets the age-specific and developmental needs of patients served by the department.
- Adapts assigned patient assessment, treatment, and/or care methods to accommodate unique physical, psychosocial, cultural, spiritual, age-specific, and other developmental needs of each patient served.
- Takes personal responsibility to ensure compliance with all policies, procedures, and standards as promulgated by state and federal agencies, the hospital, and other regulatory entities.
- Performs all duties in a manner that protects the confidentiality of patients and does not solicit or disclose any confidential information unless it is necessary in the performance of assigned job duties.
- Demonstrates adherence to the CORE values of Santa Rosa Health Care.
- Preforms other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Associate degree preferred.
- Minimum of 2 to 5 years’ experience within the healthcare industry to include: Knowledge of admission, registration requirements, scheduling, and Wound Care OP department access.
- Practical knowledge of common office software applications.
