About the role

This position provides clerical and technical administrative support to school site personnel, including maintaining records, compiling and distributing materials and reports, and communicating information to internal and external sources.

Responsibilities

  • Administers first aid and prescription medications to students under the direction of a health care professional.
  • Assists with processing documents, forms, mailings, and materials (e.g., attendance, enrollments) to disseminate information.
  • Assists in developing master schedules to ensure accurate student course and class size requirements.
  • Attends department and/or in-service meetings to convey and gather required information.
  • Collects payments for events such as fines, fees, and fundraisers to complete transactions.
  • Coordinates assigned projects and activities (e.g., distribution of materials, conference arrangements, travel, proctoring assessments).
  • Distributes materials (e.g., mail, checks, supplies, messages) to ensure timely delivery.
  • Implements site processes and projects (e.g., discipline issues, bus coordination, substitute teachers, college and career procedures).
  • Maintains manual and electronic documents, files, and records (e.g., student transcripts, purchase orders, work orders, time sheets).
  • Maintains inventory of supplies and materials to ensure availability.
  • Monitors students referred for illness or disciplinary action to ensure student welfare and office security.
  • Prepares correspondence, reports, and materials (e.g., awards, report cards, schedules, memorandums, minutes).
  • Processes documents and materials (e.g., schedule changes, student registrations, time sheets, work orders).
  • Researches assigned topics (e.g., student record discrepancies, policies, education codes) to provide accurate information.
  • Responds to inquiries from internal and external parties (e.g., parents, district staff, government agencies, students).
  • Reviews release of students to authorized parents/guardians to ensure student safety.
  • Schedules activities (e.g., appointments, meetings, travel reservations, facility usage).
  • Verifies student-related data (e.g., grades, information, coursework) to ensure accuracy of records.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned to ensure efficient functioning of the work unit.

Requirements

  • Age 16 or older.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Job-related experience is desired.

Pay

Hourly rate: $16.62
