About the Organization
The Yukon-Kuskokwim Health Corporation is a Tribal health care organization serving nearly 30,000 people across rural, southwest Alaska in villages with populations ranging from about 10 to over 1,000. Bethel, the regional hub and location of the only hospital in the region, has a population of nearly 7,000. About the Role
Performs secretarial duties including typing, shorthand, filing, answering telephones, and making copies.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Experience with office machines (e.g., multi-line telephones, computer, fax machines).
- Computer skills.
- Good human relations and oral/written communication skills.
- Strong organization skills and ability to handle confidential information with discretion and good judgment.
- Ability to work independently and maintain accountability.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with diverse personalities while remaining calm, tactful, and diplomatic.
Additional Information
Location: Akiachak, Department: Community Health Aide Program (CHAP). This is a temporary position for a 638 Village Clinic with varying hours per week. Under P.L. 93-638, preference is given to Alaska Native/American Indian applicants.
