Responsibilities
- Provide general clerical and administrative support to attorneys, paralegals, secretaries, and firm management, as needed
- Handle copying and scanning of documents, case files, and other materials as requested
- Serve as primary backup support for Reception and Office Services
- Maintain legal files and case rooms, including shelf organization and routine inventory support
- Absorb and organize loose files and records
- Perform data entry tasks as needed
- Support the posting and distribution of daily mail
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of supply and copy areas
- Perform light kitchen duties, including brewing coffee, loading and unloading dishwashers, wiping down counters, and periodically cleaning out the refrigerator
- Set up offices and workspaces for new hires
- Assist with furniture setup for new and existing office spaces
- Aid with special and miscellaneous projects, as assigned
Requirements
- At least 1 year of customer-facing experience working in an office environment; prior experience in a law firm is a plus
- High School diploma required
- Ability to use necessary computer applications including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel, etc)
- Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail
- Excellent listening, verbal, and written communication skills
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and remain composed in a dynamic environment
- Adaptable in dealing with multiple situations and assignments while maintaining a positive, professional, and approachable attitude and demeanor
- Exceptional reliability, punctuality, and professionalism
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs.
