About the role
We are looking for a dependable Office Assistant to support daily operations at a detail-oriented testing site in Anaheim, California. This Long-term Contract opportunity offers a part-time schedule and is ideal for someone who enjoys customer-facing work, administrative support, and maintaining organized, secure environments. The person in this role will help create a smooth and efficient experience for visitors while assisting with clerical tasks, monitoring procedures, and resolving issues efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Welcome visitors, confirm identification details, and guide individuals through check-in procedures with accuracy.
- Carry out required security protocols, including screening measures and routine observation of the testing area to uphold site standards.
- Provide basic assistance with equipment or device-related issues so candidates can proceed with minimal disruption.
- Monitor the testing environment through regular walkthroughs and visual checks to ensure compliance, fairness, and a comfortable experience for all participants.
- Respond quickly to candidate concerns, escalate incidents when needed, and document situations that fall outside established guidelines.
- Protect testing materials, workstations, and controlled areas by following strict handling and security procedures at all times.
- Support office operations during slower periods by completing clerical tasks such as scanning documents, organizing materials, and assisting with general front-desk coverage.
- Record required candidate information, including digital fingerprint collection when applicable, and maintain accurate records for reporting purposes.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional college coursework is helpful.
- At least one year of in-person customer service experience in settings such as retail, hospitality, food service, or reception.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with visitors and team members.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume setting that requires attention to detail and effective multitasking.
- Basic proficiency with Windows-based computer systems and common applications such as Microsoft Office, Outlook, and web browsers.
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds, move throughout the facility regularly, and remain standing or seated for extended periods as needed.
- Capable of bending, stooping, and navigating tight work areas safely while handling equipment or office materials.
- Flexible availability to work varying part-time hours Monday through Saturday based on operational needs. Saturdays are required.
