About the role
This position is located at Department of Housing and Urban Development, Government National Mortgage Association Ginnie Mae.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and review all incoming and outgoing correspondence actions and determines the proper action or disposition to be taken.
- Forward assignments to appropriate staff members providing technical and administrative support.
- Analyze and apply an extensive knowledge of workflow management, staff action processing and correspondence management.
- Assure smooth flow of work through the office by means of control records, relative to flow of correspondence, reports, requests for information and material for action, review and comment;
- Establishes administrative goals or objectives to help promote office efficiency and productivity;
- Researches and analyzes administrative inquiries and develops the appropriate oral or written responses;
- Develops reports, briefing documents, data spreadsheets, and presentations using Microsoft applications or similar software programs.
Requirements
- Must be U.S. Citizen or U.S. National.
- A one year probationary period may be required. Continued employment is contingent upon supervisory certification that continued employment will benefit the Federal Service; the certification will occur no less than 30 days before the end of the probationary/trial period.
- Must successfully complete a background investigation.
- Complete a Declaration for Federal Employment to determine your suitability for Federal employment, at the time requested by the agency.
- Have your salary sent to a financial institution of your choice by Direct Deposit/Electronic Funds Transfer.
- If you are a male applicant born after December 31, 1959, certify that you have registered with the Selective Service System or are exempt from having to do so.
- Obtain and use a Government-issued charge card for business-related travel.
Qualifications
- You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement.
- Specialized Experience: For the GS-12, you must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position includes:
- - Establishing administrative goals or objectives to help promote office efficiency and productivity;
- - Researching and analyzing administrative inquiries and developing the appropriate oral or written responses;
