Responsibilities
- Supports efficient company operations by coordinating with managers and supervisors on submission and reporting of time for purposes of accurate and timely billing.
- Supervises the efficient operation of the daily accounting activities.
- Maintains and updates proper general ledger accounts and records detailing financial business transactions.
- Supervises accounts receivable, bank deposit transactions and collections.
- Supervises preparation of vendor payments by verifying documentation and requesting disbursements.
- Oversees accounting assistant.
- Maintains customer confidence and protects operations by keeping financial information confidential.
- Reconciles records internally and with external vendors or customers.
- Troubleshoots discrepancies; recommends actions to resolve.
- Investigates questionable data.
- Manages the reception area to ensure effective telephone and mail communication; manages receptionists.
- Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures.
- Aids in developing and implementing office policies and procedures.
- Collaborates with CFO on the monthly close process; makes journal entries.
- Coordinates submission of sales tax filings; responsible for other tax compliance filings.
- Performs related duties as assigned by supervisor.
Requirements
- A minimum of 5 years of related experience as an Office Manager in a professional service firm/company (example legal, accounting, technology, consulting, etc.) with background in both operations and accounting/bookkeeping.
- A degree and any relevant certification is a plus.
- Competency with QuickBooks, Excel, databases, as well as other MS Office Products.
- Detail and fact-oriented, results-focused.
- Highly organized and able to prioritize tasks in the office environment.
- Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Intellectually curious; problem solver.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with ConnectWise is a plus.
Qualifications
- Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
- Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 15 lbs.
- Ability to talk, listen and speak clearly on telephone.
Skills
- Knowledge of ConnectWise.
