Office 365 Infrastructure Architect

Planet Technologies, the nation’s leading Microsoft services provider to the public sector, is seeking a highly motivated O365 Infrastructure Architect to join their growing team. This role supports impactful projects that make a difference for our country, working directly with SLG, Commercial, and DIB clients to create strategic vision for custom infrastructure solutions and lead their deployment.

Responsibilities

• Lead and provide strategic vision to large technical teams on complex Microsoft 365 modernization projects.
• Translate client requirements into architectural designs and influence the deployment of key infrastructure components by analyzing customer business requirements.
• Design, construct, configure, and maintain all facets of a Microsoft 365 tenant.
• Plan and execute end-to-end implementation of Microsoft 365 infrastructure workloads.
• Maintain a thorough understanding of existing and emerging Microsoft 365 and related core technologies.
• Provide guidance and technical insight to help customers make complex decisions around features and capabilities.
• Provide leadership across practice areas, including new technologies, process improvement, or standardization on elements with broad impact.
• Participate in presales calls and activities, assisting in providing solutions to customer requirements, identifying scope, and referring opportunities for additional sales.

Requirements

• Responsible for creating strategic vision for Microsoft 365 modernization efforts for commercial and/or Defense Industrial Base organizations, leading and deploying complex projects within scope and customer expectations.
• Real-world, hands-on experience delivering messaging and collaboration solutions using Microsoft Exchange and Office 365 in large, complex environments, including extensive hybrid and third-party migration experience.
• Subject matter expertise in Microsoft Entra ID, Exchange Online, Exchange Online Protection (EOP), Teams Voice, and other O365 workloads.
• Experience with Microsoft Security Stack: Defender for Office 365, Defender for Identity, Defender for Cloud Apps, Entra ID, Microsoft Purview Information Protection, Data Loss Prevention, and Compliance Center, including Litigation Hold, Retention, and eDiscovery.
• Real-world experience managing and maintaining Active Directory, GPOs, and on-premises Active Directory migrations.
• Ability to implement related technologies and understand their dependencies in complex enterprise environments.
• Proactively respond to internal and external technical communities with deep technical knowledge and communication skills that build relationships.
• Ability to proactively collaborate across internal, customer, and key partner teams.
• Thought leadership in solving problems in complex M365 environments.
• Experience effectively articulating escalation issues and communicating progress to stakeholders.
• Ownership and commitment to the successful technical delivery of complex projects in large enterprise environments.
• Teams Voice experience is a plus.

Pay

Salaries for O365 Infrastructure Architects at Planet Technologies range from $140,000 to $200,000. Several factors will impact the final pay offered, including type and years of experience, clearance level, industry experience, education, and training.

Federal Agency Clearance Requirements may require up to a 10-year background investigation. U.S. citizenship (clearable) is required.
