About the role

Eaton’s ES AMER ESS division is currently seeking a Production Supervisor at our Waukesha, WI site. Relocation assistance will be provided for candidates residing outside a 50-mile radius. The hours will be approximately 7:00pm-4:00am.

Responsibilities

The Production Supervisor will direct departmental activities and initiate/participate in cross-functional activities to accomplish the objectives of safety, quality, on-time delivery, inventory, productivity, and continuous improvement. The Supervisor will improve employee involvement and communications to achieve strategic operating objectives.

  • Staff, develop, and maintain an effective workforce of production personnel to accomplish department goals
  • Plan, direct, and control the work of assigned work centers to make maximum effective utilization of employees, equipment, and material within budgetary requirements and cost/quality standards
  • Maintain the quality as well as quantity of various manufactured parts so that they meet engineering specifications
  • Analyze operating reports and take necessary corrective action to effectively control all costs and expenses related to the department
  • Manage administrative functions including attendance, time-off, training records, and internal communications

Qualifications

The basic qualifications for this role include a High School diploma or GED, one year of supervisory work experience, and five years of manufacturing experience.

  • Preferred qualifications include a Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution or completion of Eaton’s Front Line Leader Associate program
  • Relevant experience in shop operations such as machining, assembly, fabrication, and manufacturing systems like Lean, Shop Floor Control, MRP, routings, BOMs, SPC, and ISO 9000
  • Previous leadership experience in a manufacturing environment and working knowledge of employment law such as OSHA, FMLA, harassment, etc.
  • Experience with lean manufacturing / Operational Excellence in 5S+, Value Stream Mapping, Standard Work, Visual Management, etc.

Skills

  • Must be a self-starter with the ability to work alone or in a team environment with limited supervision
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to function in a multi-tasking capacity
  • Excellent computer and data analysis skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook

Pay

The expected annual salary range for this role is $86,000 - $126,000, depending on candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
