Responsibilities
- Perform planned maintenance for production equipment.
- Analyze machine failures for trends and implement countermeasures to prevent reoccurrence.
- Respond to immediate downtime for production equipment and facilitate repair with department.
- Manage work activity and spare parts using JD Edwards system.
- Conduct visual monthly checks on equipment.
- Maintain awareness and understanding of environmental policies, management system, and objectives by attending required training.
- Perform all tasks in accordance with EMS procedures and practices to minimize environmental impact.
Requirements
- Associate’s degree in Industrial Maintenance or equivalent work experience.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to use shop tools and equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Clear, concise written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of team members.
- Experience using Microsoft Office systems (Excel and Word) is a plus.
- Experience using JD Edwards is a plus.
Skills
- Apply basic math functions to solve workplace problems, including percentage, rate, ratio, decimal, and proportion calculations.
- Create and interpret basic graphs and charts commonly used in manufacturing.
- Calculate rotational velocity equations (RPMs), speeds, feeds, and horsepower requirements for machining.
- Apply common sense to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
- Deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
Physical Demands
- Frequently required to stand, walk, use hands to handle or feel, and reach with hands and arms.
- Occasionally required to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- Frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment
- Regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts.
- Occasionally exposed to high, precarious places, wet and/or humid conditions, and extreme heat.
- Noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
Schedule
Full-time position with the following shift options:
- First Shift: 6:00 a.m. – 2:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.
- Second Shift: 2:00 p.m. – 10:30 p.m. or 4:30 p.m. – 1:00 a.m., Monday through Friday.
- Third Shift: 10:00 p.m. – 6:30 a.m., Sunday through Thursday.
Occasional overtime throughout the week and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
