Off-Shift Director (Per-Diem, Evenings)

Responsibilities

• Oversees & assures short & long term Nursing Dept. staff schedules per established guidelines.
• Serves as a clinical resource person to staff in problem solving, assessments, special procedures & clinical skill enhancements.
• Captures emergency medical assessment & care of residents including interventions, transportation & other resources needed.
• Facilitates units in rapid admission of residents including obtaining evaluations as indicated.
• Serves as adjunct to staff development coordinator in promoting planned in-services to nursing staff as per master schedule/plan.
• Supervises the M.D.R. directing, interacting with residents, families and staff in providing safe, pleasant mealtime and assuring appropriate completion of required records.
• Serves as major facilitator in QA program for Nursing Dept. including completion of assessments of designated audits & resultant actions required.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited registered nurse program required.
• One to three years of nursing experience required.
• Registered in NYS as a registered nurse professional.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• LTC PAC nursing experience preferred.
• One year of supervisory experience preferred.
