What you will do

  • Proactively identifying, troubleshooting, and resolving issues to support and improve efficiency of the manufacturing facilities
  • Work with plant operational teams to facilitate continuous improvement efforts related to electrical and instrumentation performance
  • Participate in project teams and all activities related to engineering technical support
  • PLC programming, HMI programming, Vision System programming, and VFD configuration (Rockwell, Siemens, Cognex, Keyence, SEW, Lenze)
  • Design and implementation of electrical systems
  • Evaluates electrical systems, products, components, and applications by designing and conducting research programs and applying knowledge of electricity and materials
  • Confirms systems and components’ capabilities by designing testing methods
  • Develops electrical products by studying customer requirements and researching and testing manufacturing and assembly methods and materials
  • Prepares product reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends
  • Reviews electrical engineering plans, specifications, and reports
  • Conducts tests and inspections of electrical systems and equipment
  • Collaborates with engineers and technicians
  • Provides engineering information by answering questions and requests
  • Maintains equipment operational by following manufacturer’s instructions and established procedures and requesting repair service
  • Maintains product database by writing computer programs and entering data
  • Any additional reasonable request deemed necessary by management

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering or related technical experience with a minimum of five (5) years preferred
