About the role
You will manage the Owner-Furnished Equipment (OFE) & Long-Lead Equipment (LLE) for a Hyperscale Data Center greenfield build onsite in Kansas City, MO. Relocation assistance is available for the right candidate.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the single point of contact for Owner-Furnished Equipment (OFE) & Long-Lead Equipment (LLE).
- Develop tools, trackers, and processes to align equipment deliveries with construction schedules, including collecting, organizing, and applying lessons learned.
- Support process improvement, including supplier/vendor purchase order structure, constructability standards, and changes to roles/responsibilities.
- Build and maintain relationships with vendors/suppliers to cultivate trust and cooperation throughout the project lifecycle.
- Drive recurring meetings with suppliers/vendors to achieve project success.
- Foster strong working relationships with RCSM and their teams to ensure transparent communication for timely issuance of equipment purchase orders.
- Maintain constant communication with the Lead Project Manager regarding equipment delivery sequence/logic, delay risks, and change requests.
- Work with the General Contractor (GC) to identify risks and opportunities for equipment delivery and scope gaps.
- Coordinate with Data Center Engineering, Commissioning teams, GC, and Lead Project Manager to schedule, organize, and attend Factory Witness Testing (FWT) and Factory QA/QC visits as requested by the Owner’s team.
- Meet with the Lead Project Manager, Scheduler, and GC to understand equipment dependencies and vet schedule logic.
- Communicate site requirements with suppliers/vendors that could impact schedule and cost.
- Work with the Finance team to ensure critical milestone dates are accurate, updated, and communicated to project stakeholders in a timely manner.
- Manage issues relating to owner-furnished equipment, such as quality, logistics, delays, cash flow, submittals, delivery schedules, LLE Pre-Purchase Specifications, and Google’s Global LLE Tracker.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience.
- 2 years of experience on construction projects.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Proficiency with computers.
- Good understanding of building networks.
- Ability to plan and organize team efforts.
- Strong client management and relationship-building skills.
- Capacity to motivate, lead, and boost team morale.
- Effective time management and logical decision-making ability.
- Strong focus on quality and safety.
- Must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future.
