About the role
Our New York office has an opportunity for an Of Counsel to join the firm’s dynamic and long-established practice representing premier local and national employers. This is an excellent opportunity for attorneys who are proactive and passionate about assuming a high-level role providing legal service within a sophisticated practice and who are seeking to assume a significant role in all aspects of labor and employment law. This role requires extensive contact with clients, governmental agencies and opposing counsel.
Responsibilities
- Performing legal research
- Drafting legal memoranda, motions, and pleadings
- Attending court conferences
- Handling discovery-related activities and investigations
- Drafting position statements and dispositive motions
- Counseling clients on employment-law-related matters
Requirements
- Juris Doctor
- Must be and remain licensed to practice law and in good standing in New York; must meet requirements for continuing licensure during employment
- At least 8+ years of employment litigation experience, including labor and employment litigation experience
- Excellent analytical, writing and communication skills
Wage Transparency
In accordance with New York State’s Wage Transparency Law, the expected salary range for this New York State position is between $305,000 and $315,000. Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience, geographic location, and other job-related factors as permitted by law.
