Position Summary
Our Milwaukee office has an opportunity for an Of Counsel to join the firm’s nationally recognized practice representing premier local and national employers. This is an excellent opportunity for attorneys with an ownership mentality to assume a leading role in providing superior legal services to sophisticated employers in all aspects of labor and employment law.
Duties
- Performing legal research
- Drafting of legal memoranda, motions, and pleadings
- Attending court conferences
- Handling discovery-related activities (including e-discovery and depositions) and investigations
- Drafting of position statements and dispositive motions
- Drafting settlement agreements and other employment-related agreements (e.g., employment agreements, arbitration agreements, restrictive covenant agreements)
- Counseling clients on employment-law-related matters
Requirements
- Juris Doctor
- Qualified candidates must be and remain licensed to practice law and in good standing in Wisconsin
- During employment, must meet requirements for continuing licensure for law practice
- Candidates must possess at least 8+ years of employment litigation experience
- Labor and Employment litigation experience is required
- Excellent analytical, writing and communication skills are required
