Job Description
The Senior OEM Liaison is responsible for executing the global Technology OEM strategy for the Castrol Industrial business. The Senior OEM Liaison Manager is the interface between the Industrial Technology team and Industrial Sales and GAM functions, aligning and defining the strategy. The Senior OEM Liaison Manager coordinates all technical OEM activities for the Industrial Business both internally and externally.
Strategy
- Execute and shape the Technology OEM strategy in the Industrial Field Support.
- Develop and manage strategic technical relationships with OEMs, Key Additive Suppliers, Industrial Associations, and Universities.
- Secure and maintain differentiating recommendations, endorsements, and approvals from OEMs for industrial products and services.
- Define and track relevant KPIs for the execution of the Technology OEM strategy.
Planning
- Project manage independently global Technology OEM activities with regular stakeholder reviews and updates.
- Identify customer needs and industry trends and input into the global technology strategy.
- Plan and obtain customer approvals in alignment with Sales / GAM.
- Plan and organize Strategy & Technology Days with strategic OEMs.
Implementation
- Execute, document, and report on OEM projects.
- Organize and coordinate technical lectures at relevant trade shows and industry meetings.
- Collect and document information in written reports on key OEMs, sector information, and market trends.
Monitoring
- Provide good quality documentation of topics and share with the greater Technology Community and Sales / GAM and marketing.
- Define and track relevant KPIs for the execution of the Technology OEM strategy.
- Adhere to HSSE, compliance, and QM standards.
Organization
- Represent Castrol Technology in relevant Industry bodies and trade shows.
- Co-engineer with OEMs to capture relevant trends and strategic developments.
- Support, coach, and mentor members of the team to improve their overall capability and performance.
Essential Experience and Job Requirements
- 3+ years’ relevant experience in the Additive, Lubricant, or Related Industry.
- Strong customer-facing, relationship management, and negotiating experience.
- Industry knowledge on lubricant use.
- Deep knowledge of tribology.
- Strategic thinking.
Desirable Criteria & Qualifications
- In-depth understanding of current and future engineering and lubricants trends.
- Ability to work cross-functionally, interact at most senior levels, internally and externally.
- Intercultural experience.
- Strong network of contacts in the industry.
