Key Responsibilities
- Manage and perform repairs and preventive maintenance for all hotel systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical operations
- Oversee department inventory, purchasing, budgeting, safety compliance, and required inspections/certifications
- Ensure all guest accommodations and back-of-house areas meet life safety and brand standards
- Hire, train, motivate, and evaluate engineering staff; lead performance development and continuous improvement efforts
- Maintain full compliance with Concord Hospitality standards and brand-specific operating requirements
- Communicate effectively with the General Manager, corporate leadership, and ownership regarding property conditions, capital needs, and safety risks
- Lead preventive maintenance programs, workplace safety initiatives, and energy conservation strategies
- Support and actively participate in Concord’s Leadership Development Training
- Respond effectively to emergency situations and after-hours operational needs
Qualifications
- Previous hotel engineering or maintenance leadership experience required
- Strong technical knowledge of: Building systems, HVAC operations, Fire/life safety, Mechanical and electrical systems
- Demonstrated ability to lead, train, and develop maintenance teams
- Working knowledge of OSHA regulations and local building codes
- Strong organizational, troubleshooting, and communication skills
- Able to work flexible schedules, including on-call and emergency response
