Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Hollywood is the flagship casino resort of Hard Rock International, owned by the Seminole Tribe of Florida. This world-renowned entertainment, gaming and hospitality destination unveiled a $1.5 billion expansion on Oct. 24, 2019. New offerings include 638 upscale guestrooms in the first-ever Guitar Hotel, 168 luxury guestrooms and unique swim-up suites in the adjacent Oasis Tower at Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Hollywood, and 465 newly redesigned guestrooms in Hard Rock Hotel for a combined room count of 1,271 throughout the resort. Additional amenities include the lush, “Bora Bora” style lagoon with private cabanas and butler service; a 42,000 square-foot Rock Spa® & Salon; a 13.5-acre recreational water experience for swimming, kayaking and paddle boarding; 19 dining outlets and 20 bars and lounges; an expansive gaming floor with 3,100 slots, 195 table games and a 45-table poker room; 120,000 square feet of premier meeting and convention space including a 38,000 square-foot, carpeted exhibition hall; and a 26,000 square-foot retail promenade. The highly anticipated Hard Rock Live entertainment venue with a 7,000-person capacity, will showcase A-list entertainers, comedy acts, Broadway performances, sporting events and live broadcast productions. The integrated resort is located on 87 acres of the Hollywood Seminole Reservation along State Road 7 (U.S. Highway 441), and is 10 minutes from Fort Lauderdale/Hollywood International Airport and 30 minutes from downtown Miami and Miami International Airport.

Job Description

Under the direction of the Asst. Beverage Manager, the Model Bartender is responsible for expedite guests’ drink orders and mix and serve beverages to guests in a courteous, timely, and professional manner while ensuring his/her outlet is clean, organized, and properly stocked at all times. Promotes the lounge; acts as a brand ambassador; entertains and interacts with clientele and ensures the highest levels of guest service at all times. Mix of sales ability, positive upbeat attitude and image. All model bartenders must maintain the original mix as hired to maintain their status as a model:

  • Sales Ability – team member must be able to focus and sell designed products as selected by management. This includes menu signature drinks, specials, specific holiday beverages or drinks, wines as selected by management and any other product that’s featured by Marketing.
  • Positive Upbeat Attitude – team members are selected for their upbeat and positive attitude on hire. We require, in order to keep model job code, this attitude is maintained and continues daily.
  • Image – team members are to enhance the company's objective to provide an entertaining environment through maintenance of visual appearance, according to department standards.

Standards: Uniform is clean, fitted by tailor and well maintained. It should reflect the intended look and vibe as designated by department management. The only alterations or changes that may be made are by an approved wardrobe tailor. Female uniform is only available in sizes 0 – 8. Male uniform is available in waists 30” – 36” with tops in proportion as follows: 30” waist, small top. 32” waist, medium top. 34” waist, large top. 36” waist, extra-large top. This can be modified based on a specific build and muscularity if approved by Beverage Manager

  • Body presentation must reflect a healthy fit look.
  • Overall body presentation should be identical to that at time of hire at all times.
  • Team member appearance should include a well prepared fresh look. Males must be cleanly shaved or well-maintained facial hair. Females must have hair styled and make up.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Exhibits conduct in accordance with all Gaming Commission Regulations and Seminole Tribe of Florida departmental policies and procedures.
  • Must adhere to the Seminole Tribe's Policies and Procedures.
  • Greets guests in a timely manner; requests primary beverage order.
  • Initiates conversation with guests, inquiring about their satisfaction with the lounge. Anticipates guest needs, when possible, and provides extra items, drinks, and condiments to the table.
  • Expedites drink orders for each party quickly and accurately. Serves refills upon request as well as follows up for additional beverage requirements.
  • Adheres to all responsible alcohol serving requirements as dictated by the state; requests identification from guest ordering alcohol when legal age is questionable.
  • Transports dishes to kitchen for washing and disposes of trash in designated receptacles.
  • Communicates with servers and managers regarding guest requests.
  • Follows proper check settlement control procedures.
  • Models designer apparel and accessories. May be required to make several costume changes during the scheduled shift.
  • Interacts and entertains guests in a cordial and gracious manner, thereby creating a memorable experience and building guest loyalty. Serves as Goodwill Ambassador, using finesse and good judgment.
  • Maintains quality service standards with all guests by creating a friendly, relaxed atmosphere while visiting the guests’ table and coordinating service requests.
  • Maintains a constant awareness of safety and accident prevention and immediately notifies the Supervisor if an accident does occur.
  • Informs Supervisor of any irregularities, guest complaints or other disputes, which cannot be readily resolved.
  • Aids the department head with the training/mentoring of new team members as requested.
  • Follows proper check settlement control procedures.
  • Might participate in a professional photo shoot.
  • Acts as a role model to all employees and always presents oneself as a credit to Seminole Gaming and encourages other team members to do the same.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to ensuring responsible gaming and responsible alcohol service by discreetly notifying appropriate managers of concerns and observations.
  • Demonstrate actions and behaviors that reinforce the Company’s Mission and Values of Communication, Integrity, Fun, Respect, Accountability, Passion and Dedication.
  • Ensure prompt and discreet notification to managers and/or the Ethics Hotline of any observation of illegal acts or internal ethics violations.
  • Mets the attendance requirements of the position.
  • Performs other job duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent and one (1) year experience as a bar apprentice and/or bartender required.
  • Knowledge of all beverage functions to include: the mixing of drinks, the operation of all bar equipment, working knowledge of all restaurant functions.
  • Previous experience working in a nightclub and/or entertainment venue highly preferred.
  • Current or previous modeling and/or promotions experience within the last five (5) years required.
  • Previous experience in upscale gaming lounge and/or similar entertainment environment preferred.
  • Must be able and willing to properly wear the assigned uniform or a special event costume.
  • Must demonstrate the ability to wear specifically designed clothing\uniform and costumes as needed with flair and techniques associated with modeling industry requirements; posture, gestures and movement.
  • If hired in a 24 hour outlet position, the Model Bartender must be available to work all shifts; to include Day, Swing and Grave shift.
