Oculoplastic Surgeon, Department of Ophthalmology

Job Overview

The University of Cincinnati College of Medicine is seeking an academic Assistant/Associate/Professor of Ophthalmology as an Oculoplastic surgeon for a part-time, non-tenure track position. The oculoplastics service is an active faculty group performing cases ranging from simple cosmetic and functional procedures to complex orbital and reconstructive surgery. Since resident education is a prominent feature in the oculoplastics service, enthusiasm for teaching is preferred for this position.

Essential Functions

• Perform clinical duties in Ophthalmology and Oculoplastics.
• Participate in the operating room and outpatient clinic.
• Advise and train fellows, residents, and medical students.
• Demonstrate a commitment to an academic career through research, teaching, and supporting the department's academic mission.
• Attend departmental and divisional meetings as relevant, to include participation in grand rounds and educational conferences.

Minimum Requirements

• MD/DO or equivalent
• Completion of an accredited residency in Ophthalmology
• Completion of Oculoplastic Fellowship
• Board eligible or Board certified in Ophthalmology
• Licensure by the Ohio Medical Board is required at the time of appointment
