About the Role
The Grounds Worker is responsible for maintaining all school grounds through regular mowing and maintenance of plants and shrubs year-round.
Qualifications
- High school graduate or G.E.D.
- Experience in operating mowing equipment.
- Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license.
- Able to push, pull, or lift 40 pounds; kneel and reach above your head.
Responsibilities
- Performs day-to-day grounds tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
- Keeps supervisor informed of problems encountered in completing assignments.
- Reports equipment needs or breakdowns regarding grounds equipment to the supervisor.
- Promptly reports job-related injuries to the supervisor.
- Reports any unsafe conditions on school grounds that could endanger employees or students.
- Performs other reasonable duties within the scope of grounds maintenance as assigned by the supervisor.
Pay
Compensation is based on 260 contract days on the board-approved 108 salary schedule.
Schedule
This position requires an 8-hour workday.
