OCI Operations Engineer

The Opportunity

Everyone is trying to “harness the cloud”, but not everyone knows how. As an Oracle Cloud Engineer, you know how to create a cloud-based technical architecture that meets client needs and takes advantage of cloud capabilities. We need you to help us maintain cloud-based solutions for some of the nation's toughest problems.

You’ll use your technical experience to work with industry leaders to inform strategy and design, ensuring standards are met throughout the cloud migration process. You’ll recommend tools and solutions based on your research of the current environment and knowledge of various on-premises, cloud-based, and hybrid resources. You’ll work with your team as they help the client overcome their most difficult challenges in the cloud. Additionally, you’ll grow your skills in areas like AI while developing critical systems for the defense industry.

You Have

• 3+ years of experience supporting operations and maintenance for secure DoD information management systems
• 3+ years of experience with OCI services and cloud-native architecture patterns, including Compute, Autonomous Database, Exadata Database, security policies, security groups, and network security
• 3+ years of experience with Infrastructure-as-Code, including Terraform, or CloudFormation
• 3+ years of experience with Linux Operating Systems and command-line interfaces
• Experience with scripting languages, including Bash, Ansible, or YAML
• Experience working with containerization, including Docker, Kubernetes, and container orchestration
• Experience supporting advanced OCI solutions, and hardening government systems following STIG requirements
• Secret clearance
• Bachelor's degree
• Ability to obtain a DoD 8570 or 8140 IAT Level II Baseline Certification within 30 days of hire date

Nice If You Have

• Experience designing solutions to enable migration from AWS to OCI
• Experience with OCI AI, ML, and LLM offerings
• Experience with the Atlassian tool suite, including Jira and Confluence
• Experience with Agile development techniques and ceremonies
• Knowledge of security best practices and compliance requirements
• Knowledge of site reliability engineering concepts
• OCI Certifications such as OCI Operations Associate or OCI Developer Certification

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $69,400.00 to $158,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
