Key Responsibilities

  • Confirm all shipment information with origin to initiate shipment
  • Receive and validate customers' orders including shipping documents, SLI, EIN, credit application
  • Review/update; verify fees, customer profile, SOP, and rates per quote or customer SOP/work instructions
  • Verify shipment status, review pre-alert and verify shipment handling instructions to operations
  • Serve as a liaison between Document Processing Agent and the Customer regarding shipment details and/or exceptions
  • Communicate and resolve problems that arise in the movement of product
  • Communicate exceptions and shipment status with Customer

Skills / Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years Ocean Imports experience in the freight forwarding or International Supply Chain industry
  • Strong Understanding of Ocean Import regulations and documents
  • Knowledge of Inco Terms a plus
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and deadline-driven office environment
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively
  • Exceptional customer service and follow up skills
  • Strong computer skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • LOGIS or Cargo Wise systems knowledge is a plus
  • Hazmat certification is a plus
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, High school diploma or GED required

Pay Range

Pay Range: $23.26 - $31.02/hr. (Based on Experience)
