Key Responsibilities
- Confirm all shipment information with origin to initiate shipment
- Receive and validate customers' orders including shipping documents, SLI, EIN, credit application
- Review/update; verify fees, customer profile, SOP, and rates per quote or customer SOP/work instructions
- Verify shipment status, review pre-alert and verify shipment handling instructions to operations
- Serve as a liaison between Document Processing Agent and the Customer regarding shipment details and/or exceptions
- Communicate and resolve problems that arise in the movement of product
- Communicate exceptions and shipment status with Customer
Skills / Requirements
- Minimum 2 years Ocean Imports experience in the freight forwarding or International Supply Chain industry
- Strong Understanding of Ocean Import regulations and documents
- Knowledge of Inco Terms a plus
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and deadline-driven office environment
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively
- Exceptional customer service and follow up skills
- Strong computer skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- LOGIS or Cargo Wise systems knowledge is a plus
- Hazmat certification is a plus
- Bachelor’s degree preferred, High school diploma or GED required
Pay Range
Pay Range: $23.26 - $31.02/hr. (Based on Experience)
