About the role
The Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) supports licensed therapists by assisting with patient assessments and implementing individualized treatment plans across all age groups.
Responsibilities
- Conduct initial assessments under supervision.
- Document patient progress and treatment details.
- Administer modalities, exercises, and treatments per departmental standards.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation for billing and compliance.
- Promote educational initiatives within the department.
- Apply knowledge of age-specific needs for neonatal to geriatric populations.
- Perform additional duties as directed by supervisors.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapist Assistant program.
- Current licensure or eligibility for licensure as a COTA.
- Preferred one year of experience, but new graduates are considered.
- Current BLS certification.
