Occupational Therapy Assistant - Per Diem

About the role

The Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) supports licensed therapists by assisting with patient assessments and implementing individualized treatment plans across all age groups.

Responsibilities

• Conduct initial assessments under supervision.
• Document patient progress and treatment details.
• Administer modalities, exercises, and treatments per departmental standards.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation for billing and compliance.
• Promote educational initiatives within the department.
• Apply knowledge of age-specific needs for neonatal to geriatric populations.
• Perform additional duties as directed by supervisors.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapist Assistant program.
• Current licensure or eligibility for licensure as a COTA.
• Preferred one year of experience, but new graduates are considered.
• Current BLS certification.
