Occupational Therapy Assistant - Hand Outpatient

Role Overview Under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist, assists with objective assessments and develops individualized treatment programs for patients of all ages, adhering to departmental policies and standards of care. Key Responsibilities Assist with initial patient assessments and document progress notes and treatment needs.Administer modalities, exercises, and treatments as per policies.Maintain accurate patient records and departmental documentation.Promote educational initiatives within the department.Demonstrate understanding of the developmental and behavioral needs of various age groups, including neonatal to geriatric.Perform miscellaneous duties as directed by supervisors. Qualifications & Skills Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapist Assistant program.Current licensure or eligibility as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant.Preferred one year of experience; new graduates considered.Current BLS certification.
