Occupational Therapy Assistant - Full Time

About the Role

Provides prescribed occupational therapy treatments under supervision, supporting diverse rehabilitation needs including geriatric, orthopedic, neurologic, pediatric, and neonatal cases. Participates in home environmental assessments and aids in developing rehab care plans. Works with minimal oversight and may mentor staff on technical skills.

Responsibilities

• Implement treatment plans and select appropriate modalities to achieve goals.
• Assist patients with transfers, mobility, dressing, and toileting while ensuring safety and comfort.
• Help coordinate inpatient and outpatient schedules, report delays, and assist with equipment maintenance.
• Support the organization’s safety protocols, including proper equipment care.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED required; Associate's/Technical Degree preferred.
• At least one year of occupational therapy experience or two years of rehabilitative services preferred.
• Occupational Therapy Assistant licensure in applicable states required.
• CPR/BLS certification and valid driver’s license are mandatory.
• Strong communication, patient care, and safety skills essential.
