About the role

As an Enhance Rehabilitation occupational therapist assistant, you will work under the guidance of an occupational therapist to support a dynamic team. Your primary responsibilities include assisting patients in following an individualized plan of care developed by Occupational Therapists, ensuring that each patient receives quality treatment leading to excellent functional outcomes. You will also assist in developing and implementing occupational therapy treatment programs tailored to each patient’s unique needs, assist patients through all phases of treatment, communicate with patients about their treatment, document patient conditions and responses to treatments in charts after each session, and maintain continuous communication with Occupational Therapists, Directors of Rehab, and facility staff. Additionally, you will operate and apply your knowledge of standard occupational therapy equipment.

Responsibilities

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you should have a strong educational background in occupational therapy or a related field, along with a valid state license to practice as an occupational therapist assistant. Experience in a healthcare setting is preferred but not required. Excellent communication skills are essential, as is the ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team. Proficiency in using standard occupational therapy equipment is also important.
