Part-Time Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) Location: Iowa Veterans Home | Marshalltown, IA Benchmark Therapies is looking for a Part-Time Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our therapy team at the Iowa Veterans Home in Marshalltown, Iowa. This is a great opportunity for a COTA who enjoys working with older adults and wants to be part of a supportive, collaborative therapy team. You’ll have the opportunity to build meaningful relationships with the veterans you serve while helping them maintain their independence, participate in everyday activities, and continue doing the things that matter most to them. What You’ll Do Provide occupational therapy treatments under the direction of the Occupational TherapistHelp veterans improve or maintain independence with daily activities, mobility, strength, coordination, and functional skillsCarry out individualized treatment plans based on each veteran’s needs and goalsBuild positive relationships with veterans, families, nursing staff, and other members of the interdisciplinary teamCommunicate changes in condition, progress, and treatment needs with the supervising OT and care teamComplete timely and accurate documentation using Net Health and facility systemsContribute to a positive, collaborative therapy environment What We’re Looking For Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant programCurrent Iowa COTA license in good standingA genuine interest in working with older adultsStrong communication and interpersonal skillsSomeone who values teamwork, clinical judgment, and individualized careLong-term care or geriatric experience is helpful, but not required Why Benchmark Therapies?
