Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) - Resident Care Facility - Part Time

Essential Functions

• Performs routine patient/resident care duties under the direction of the Registered nurse or LPN.
• Assists with direct care of the patient/resident (dressing, grooming, ambulating, toileting, transferring).
• Prepares and assists with meals and distributes water and other nourishments according to the needs of the patient/resident.
• Makes rounds willingly and promptly responds to call lights.
• Participates in shift report communicating information to oncoming staff.
• Participates in clinical learning experiences for orientees and students.
• Escorts patients/residents to ancillary departments.
• Escorts discharged patients/residents in a safe and efficient manner.
• Demonstrates knowledge and ability to safely and effectively use equipment.
• Aware of and actively participates in emergency preparedness procedures and operations.
• Aware of and actively participates in Code Red, Blue, Yellow, Pink, Orange, Green, and Silver drills and actual events.
• Completely and accurately documents patient/resident care activities and response in a timely manner in accordance with facility policy.
• Documents on a regular, real time basis all patient/resident care activities in accordance to policy.
• Provides safe and effective patient/resident care in accordance with hospital Infection Control policy and procedures.
• Wears appropriate PPE as warranted.
• Follows hand hygiene protocol.
• Follows all isolation procedures as appropriate.

Pay

The pay for this position ranges from $20.17-$31.48 per hour.
