Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA/OTA) - FT Days | Overland Park Rehab

About the role

The ideal candidate will have prior inpatient hospital experience or a desire and commitment to learn. At PAM Health, we care for chronically and critically ill patients who require extended hospital care.

Responsibilities

  • Direct patient care, planning and implementing specific treatment programs for individual patients according to the principles and practices of occupational therapy in the PAM Health system.
  • Under the direction of the Occupational Therapist, performs other related duties as assigned or requested.

Requirements

  • Licensed as OTA in the state where the hospital or clinic resides.
  • Current BLS certification required.
  • One year of clinical experience preferred.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Completion of an accredited occupational therapy assistant program.
  • Passing score on the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) exam.

Skills

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Proficiency in using occupational therapy equipment and techniques.
