About the role
The ideal candidate will have prior inpatient hospital experience or a desire and commitment to learn. At PAM Health, we care for chronically and critically ill patients who require extended hospital care.
Responsibilities
- Direct patient care, planning and implementing specific treatment programs for individual patients according to the principles and practices of occupational therapy in the PAM Health system.
- Under the direction of the Occupational Therapist, performs other related duties as assigned or requested.
Requirements
- Licensed as OTA in the state where the hospital or clinic resides.
- Current BLS certification required.
- One year of clinical experience preferred.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Completion of an accredited occupational therapy assistant program.
- Passing score on the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) exam.
Skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Proficiency in using occupational therapy equipment and techniques.
