Occupational Therapy Assistant / COTA / OTA

About the role

The Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant is a skilled licensed therapist who performs direct care under the clinical supervision of the Occupational Therapist.

Responsibilities

• Perform direct patient care activities under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist.
• Assist in the development and implementation of occupational therapy treatment plans.
• Provide education and training to patients and families regarding daily living skills and adaptive techniques.
• Document patient progress and treatment outcomes accurately and timely.

Requirements

• Current certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA).
• A high school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in a healthcare setting preferred.

Qualifications

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Passion for helping patients improve their quality of life.

Skills

• Knowledge of occupational therapy principles and practices.
• Basic computer skills for documentation and record-keeping.

Schedule
