Responsibilities
- Demonstrate knowledge of home care and competency in specific patient care skills.
- Communicate and document tasks accurately and promptly.
- Maintain continuity of care through collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.
- Handle medical emergencies or incidents following established procedures.
- Report patient progress and issues to supervisory personnel.
- Ensure a clean, safe environment with adequate supplies and functional equipment.
- Foster teamwork by contributing ideas, listening to others, and supporting cultural diversity.
- Report any violations to supervisors and resolve issues until they are addressed.
- Be self-directed, prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and meet outcomes and strategic goals.
Requirements
- One (1) year of experience working with adults in a healthcare setting.
- A valid and unrestricted professional license in the state of practice.
- A graduate of an ACOTE accredited school.
- If foreign-trained, the program must be deemed substantially equivalent to an Occupational Therapy Assistant entry-level education in the U.S. by a credentials evaluation organization approved by the AOTA.
Preferred Skills and Experience
Home Health experience is desirable.
