Occupational Therapy Assistant COTA

About the role

We're seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our skilled rehab team at NHC Richland Place. This full-time position will assist patients in regaining strength, balance, and confidence after illness, injury, surgery, or decline.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients in their recovery process
• Implement treatment plans under the supervision of licensed therapists
• Document patient progress and communicate with healthcare providers
• Ensure patient safety and comfort during therapy sessions
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care

Requirements

• Graduate of an AOTA-accredited OTA program
• Certified (or eligible) through NBCOT
• Active Tennessee COTA license
• Reliable transportation
• Positive attitude and team-player mindset
• SNF experience is a plus, but not required

Qualifications

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Attention to detail and organizational skills
• Passion for occupational therapy and patient care

• Knowledge of occupational therapy principles and techniques
• Proficiency in using medical equipment and technology
