About the role
Provide skilled occupational therapy in a skilled nursing facility.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate patients' functional abilities
- Develop individualized treatment plans
- Deliver hands-on therapy per physician orders
- Document progress and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams
- Educate patients and caregivers to promote safety and independence
Requirements
- Accredited OT degree (Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctoral)
- Active OT license in Virginia
- BLS certification from AHA or ARC
- Ability to evaluate and develop treatment plans in a long-term care setting
- Strong documentation and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and in teams; new graduates welcome
