About the role
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapist to help patients in a skilled nursing facility with injuries, illnesses, or disabilities regain or improve their daily skills while exploring a new location.
Responsibilities
- Help patients regain or improve their daily skills
- Explore a new location with patients
- Provide ADL retraining
- Make adaptive equipment recommendations
- Develop and implement discharge plans
- Document accurately in the facility's electronic medical record system
Requirements
- Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited educational program
- Active Mississippi Occupational Therapy license required to start the assignment
- BLS certification from AHA or ARC may be required
- Experience working in skilled nursing facility settings preferred
- Experience providing ADL retraining, adaptive equipment recommendations, and discharge planning preferred
- Ability to document accurately in the facility's electronic medical record system preferred
