Occupational Therapist - Travel Contract

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapist to help patients in a skilled nursing facility with injuries, illnesses, or disabilities regain or improve their daily skills while exploring a new location.

Responsibilities

• Help patients regain or improve their daily skills
• Explore a new location with patients
• Provide ADL retraining
• Make adaptive equipment recommendations
• Develop and implement discharge plans
• Document accurately in the facility's electronic medical record system

Requirements

• Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited educational program
• Active Mississippi Occupational Therapy license required to start the assignment
• BLS certification from AHA or ARC may be required
• Experience working in skilled nursing facility settings preferred
• Experience providing ADL retraining, adaptive equipment recommendations, and discharge planning preferred
• Ability to document accurately in the facility's electronic medical record system preferred

Qualifications
