About the role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapist to help patients in a skilled nursing facility regain or improve daily living skills after illness, injury, or disability. This opportunity allows you to practice clinically while experiencing the local community.

Responsibilities

  • Assess patients' functional abilities and develop individualized treatment plans to promote independence and quality of life.
  • Provide therapeutic interventions to enhance motor skills, cognitive function, and sensory processing.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care plans are implemented.
  • Document progress and communicate effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare providers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited educational program.
  • Active Hawaii state Occupational Therapy license required to start the assignment.
  • BLS certification may be required from American Heart Association or American Red Cross.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 1-2 years of relevant work experience preferred.
  • Experience working in a skilled nursing facility is beneficial.

  • Proficiency in using assistive devices and equipment.
