Occupational Therapist - Travel Contract

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist to evaluate and treat patients in home health settings to help them regain or improve daily skills following injury, illness, or disability. This role involves working with a diverse patient population across Morris and Essex counties and requires accountability, patience, and clear communication.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat home health patients to improve function and independence.
• Document to meet productivity expectations (30 points).
• Support continuity of care across home health caseloads and contribute to measurable outcomes within the service area.
• Travel within assigned coverage areas and reimbursements will be provided for mileage between visits.

Requirements

• Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program. Active New Jersey Occupational Therapy license required. Minimum 2–3 years of experience in home health, acute, or subacute settings. BLS certification may be required from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience specifically in homecare preferred. Demonstrated accountability, strong communication skills, and patience preferred. Familiarity with productivity expectations and agency documentation preferred.
