About the Role
As an Occupational Therapist, you will evaluate patients, develop individualized care plans, and assist patients in improving daily life skills.
Responsibilities
- Review medical histories and assess patient needs
- Create treatment goals and individualized care plans
- Help patients perform tasks to improve daily life skills
- Evaluate home or workplace environments
- Educate families and employers on patient care
- Recommend adaptive equipment
- Document progress in accordance with healthcare and insurance guidelines
Requirements
- Minimum of 6 months of experience (1 year preferred); new graduates are encouraged to apply
- NBCOT-OTR Certification
- State-specific licensure
- BLS certification
- Physical endurance to stand, walk, and maneuver easily
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology
- Additional certifications may be required before starting
