Occupational Therapist (Temporary)

Responsibilities
- Conduct eligibility determination evaluations for children referred to the ITP using standardized testing tools and informal evaluation methods such as observation and caregiver reports.
- Evaluate the adaptive, communication, motor, cognitive and social-emotional development of children birth-three to determine eligibility for ITP services.
- Complete developmental assessments.
- Provide consultation and support to families and other direct services CDSA staff.
- Aid in the development of family service plans in collaboration with other team members.
- Provide treatment services as needed.
- Manage multiple tasks while adhering to timelines when submitting documentation.

- Considerable knowledge of occupational therapy principles, techniques, methods, modalities, and their proper application with the population served.
- Ability to plan, coordinate, and conduct training and in-service education for CDSA staff and providers.
- Ability to prepare and evaluate reports, including medical, social and departmental records.
- Ability to evaluate patient response and progress and to present evaluative reports in case staffing’s and multi-disciplinary team meetings.
- Ability to work effectively with clients, clients' families, medical personnel, other CDSA staff members, other service providers and community partners in a sensitive and respectful manner.
Qualifications
Licensed to practice as an Occupational Therapist in the State of North Carolina.
